Is it true that I can't refreeze foods after they are thawed?
(That I have to cook them right away or throw them out?)
ANSWER:
Raw food (ex. meat, seafood…) should be thawed in a refrigerator. Take the food out of your freezer and immediately place it in the refrigerator to be thawed out. If you don't end up using it, you can place it back in your freezer again. If you take your food out of the freezer and thaw it on the kitchen counter or anywhere else outside the refrigerator, it should be cooked immediately, and cannot be re-frozen.
