High School Softball and Baseball playoffs are underway. Today is another big day on the schedule as many local teams will be taking to the diamond in hopes of advancing to the next game. For some that will end in joy, for others sadness as the season winds to a close.
As we were thinking about all of the hard work you have put into this season, something popped into our heads. The importance of looking back. See, it's not just this season that you are playing for today. It's all of the hours of learning how to throw and catch a ball. It's that patience you needed as you learned how to steady yourself to hit the ball off the tee for the very first time. So as you look forward to your games, remember this: Take a moment, pause, and look back at how far you've come. That way, the full measure of joy you deserve will be in full view today, win or lose. Win and move on. That's very exciting. Lose and the season ends. That's hard. But...if you allow yourself to look back at all of your hard work, progress, and relationships built, you'll see that it's prepared you so very well for what's coming next. Play ball. Have fun. And if your team doesn't advance today? We can't win every game we play, but we can learn from every moment along the way. We are proud of all of the area Softball and Baseball players, coaches, and their families. Enjoy today. Look back and remember. Be present and enjoy. Today is a special day. Soak up everything about it. Sincerely, Your Friends At Concord Pharmacy.

Many local baseball and softball teams have been rained out lately. Day after day...practices and games being stopped, or cancelled all together. All of it because of this crazy rainy weather!
And that got us to thinking... Cancellations can be inspiration rather than frustration. How? Get ahead on homework and studying. Get some extra sleep. Spend time with family, friends, and teammates. Wear a weather inspired rally cap! Do all of the above off the field, so when the weather breaks you're ready to hit one out of the park on the field! At the end of the day, make the most of every opportunity. This weather seems like a great reminder of that. Frustration OR inspiration. Make what seems like the set-back become a home run. Good luck to all of the area baseball and softball teams when you are able to get back on the diamond again. We're cheering for all of you. We love looking out our front window and seeing the fields full. We know that when the field is full, so is your heart...playing the game you love. Best of luck! -Your friends at Concord Pharmacy. It was a championship kind of Sunday!
