 It has been a couple of weeks since school started back up.
Everyone is starting to get into a routine...or are you? With so many activities, so much schoolwork, appointments, work, errands, and more...what is a family to do? Slow down. Sit down. See one another. Have dinner together. Make it a priority to spend time together. In a day when everything feels like it is experienced at Mach One, maybe it is time to do something about it. Maybe back to school could be the moment we get... back to the basics. Family time. Start simple... Make a pizza. Grab a slice. Have a chat.

 Rhythm.
Here's the thing about rhythm...the beat you march to might be different than the person next to you. The key isn't to change your tune (unless it's an unhealthy one), it's to own your beat, & march on. As you start another week, we want to hear your rhythm. We want to experience you at your fullest. Your heart. Your smile. Your talents. The only way to do that is to be you. Every time you change your rhythm to fit into someone else's song, you stop bringing the beautiful music that only you can make. We love what we do, and who we get to serve. Part of why we love it so much is getting to see, hear, and experience all of the uniqueness each person brings to our community. Thanks for being you. Thanks for sharing your talents with all of us.  Back to school.
Three words that are making parents everywhere leap with joy. Summer has been fun, but there is something about a school routine that brings a sense of calm, and comfort, too. One of the greatest gifts you can give yourself, and your family, as that time approaches is found in an often over-looked area. Sleep. Part of summer fun includes late nights, and sleeping in. School means getting up A LOT earlier in many cases than what your kiddos are used to right now. Get a great jump start on the first week of school by easing back into a solid sleep schedule and routine. A well-rested student is a focused student, not to mention a happier one! We are excited for the next school year, and look forward to watching you all grow in the classroom, sports, music, art, and so many more areas. What does that mean? We'll get the encouragement we need for what is in front of us, when we pause to reflect on what the past has taught us. Sometimes that is easy, because the past is full of laughs, and joy. Sometimes life throws us curveballs we couldn't, or didn't want to have to hit. That's true. But think about how much stronger, smarter, and able to tackle the next season of life you are, because of it. So as you start this week, reach back to last week...last month...last year...last decade. Reach back and reflect. Then run forward with what you have have learned, and what you have to be thankful for, and leverage it to make a positive difference in the world...right where you are. Relationships. So as we hit the mid-week mark, we thought this would be a great time to toss this little reminder in our blog for all of us to hear. The people you are doing life with will always be the most important thing you can invest in. Your time. Your money. Your resources. Your everything. So as you gear up for the rest of your week, and head into your weekend... Pause. Breathe. Remember. When we take the time to build healthy relationships, and honor the people around us, everything else tends to fall into place. When a relationship blossoms, it is a beautiful thing!
